For those that have claimed before, you should get an email or letter shortly letting you know the date when you can apply for the fourth SEISS grant. This fourth grant covers the period from 1st February 2021 to 30th April 2021.
To be eligible for the fourth grant you must be a self-employed individual or a member of a partnership and you must either:
- be currently trading but are impacted by reduced demand due to coronavirus
- have been trading but are temporarily unable to do so due to coronavirus
To make the claim you must also declare that you:
- intend to continue to trade
- reasonably believe there will be a significant reduction in your trading profits
A significant reduction in trading profits may be due to reduced business activity, capacity, demand or inability to trade due to coronavirus between 1 February 2021 and 30 April 2021. You must keep evidence that shows how your business has been impacted by coronavirus resulting in less business activity than otherwise expected. This might be a comparison to sales in the same period last year or if you have been unable to work at all then it is very straight forward!
The claim needs to be made on or before 1st June 2021. We will be contacting you from May onwards about this claim and if you have any questions then please get in touch with Andy (andy@williscooper.com) who is now an expert in these claims!
