The restart grant was announced in the 2021 budget. It is a one-off business grant available to non-essential retail businesses and hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym or sport business premises.
To support the recovery of the high street as government trading restrictions are relaxed, the Chancellor has announced the one-off payment ‘Restart Grant’. This grant replaces the Local Restrictions Support Grant from April 2021 onwards (for eligible businesses).
If you have previously applied for a grant under the last lockdown, Amber Valley Council have now started to send emails for the re-start grant so please check your inbox (and spam!). The emails contain a unique link so that you can make your claim using a prepopulated form although you may need to add additional details such as the SIC code.
If you have not previously applied and would like to apply now for the restart grant then you can do so, the link is below. You will need some details handy such as latest rates statement and bank account details.

Each council will be doing this differently so if you are not part of Amber Valley then please check your local council website and search for ‘restart grants’. The relevant link for Derbyshire Dales is below.
Any questions then please let us know and we will be happy to help.
